I was born in Kashmar, Iran, but mainly grew up in Mashhad (Northeast of Iran) and studied math and sciences in high school there. Then I moved to Sabzevar in 2004 to do my BA in English Language and Literature (Philology) in Hakim Sabzevari University. After graduation, I had two gap years before starting my MA in 2010 which was a shift from philology to applied linguistics. I finished my thesis in 2012 and published my thesis as an article with two other colleagues in the International Journal of Applied Linguistics & English Literature. Meanwhile being a student, I have taught English professionally for six years to children and mostly adults which was a rewarding part of my career. In 2013, I moved to Barcelona and started my PhD thesis supervised by Wolfram Hinzen in psycholinguistics. I am currently working as a linguist/translator in LocTeam, a localization and translation company. My active collaboration with the group, at the moment, is currently limited to helping the researchers with some tasks.
